I know what you mean.

Farms around here, you would be on the high side of things seems 500-700 acres is average. I am not even 1/2 of your size. I just bought a bit of land next to me this winter, was as much to prevent others to buy it & dump water on my farm as anything. Haven't looked to get bigger really, seems there are steps as someone mentioned in the other thread on this topic, you lose if you get yourself into the wrong part of the step. Too big for what you have to work; too small for the next size of machinery or employees to make it work.
