As far as size and growth what you say may be true but is it wise to put money into ground which now in this area has something like a 35 to 1 price earnings ratio or put it into the dow that has a 15to 1 ratio and I think the dow's earnings growth potential long term is better than agriculture. A buddy of mine just refinanced everything to buy a farm which he is counting on 07 type of margins for the next 30 years to pay for sorry, I'm not that optimistic. Lot's of farms changed hands around here when the banks wouldn't loan $500 an acre for them in the eighties that was around a 6 to one price earnings ratio. Expansion with negative returns is foolish!
