ECIL | I'm not sure where I stated that all large dairies hire illegals. What I said was ANY business that feels the need to hire illegals is abusing our system. That includes farms of whatever type, manufacturing, service, or what it may be.
I think if you objectivly look at what cousinit said is that she is complaining about the problem with illegal immigrants and the people that hire them. Just so happens that most illegals in this country are Hispanics ( I would say most Hispanics aren't illegal though).
I joined in this thread because it seems not many dairy farmers on this forum are speaking out against these practices and think it makes us (farmers) look bad as a whole. Don't have any gripes with dairy guys unless they're breaking the law. As a matter of fact, I grew up around dairy animals and did chores every morning and it was a great experience. Hope I cleared up any questions you had. | |
