Buy two cheap ones.  Corn and bean machine, and a backup if one needs a repair.



Or, a $45k three-wheeler to do big gallons of fertilizer and preemerge, plus an $80k pizza cutter machine for post.   Won't be as glamorous or shiny, might have to turn a wrench and get greasy from time to time, but a lot of work done for half the OP budget. 



This might be the best option for him if he wants to continue putting down N pre emerge, when we used to have the coops do that it always seemed to have a better kill with the floater vs a row crop machine doing the same thing. 

If you get a Hagie, you could also get the Nitrogen toolbar and sidedress alot of your N instead of putting it all upfront.  Or Y drops would be an option on any machine too.
