SE SD | As a full time farmer that is nowhere near BTO status, it's just another thing I have to do myself to stay afloat.
Getting set to mix a load right now. I'm spending July 1, 2 & 3 spraying while friends are drinking beer at the lake. That's how spraying yourself goes.
I think if you're doing it yourself you'll know your crops and fields better. You'll better understand modes of action, active ingredients, generics, application practices, etc.
I do get entertained by the number of guys I know that have all of the equipment but end up calling in a custom applicator more times than not. But I guess it's better than not getting it done at all. | |
