I switched suppliers and get an independent to spray. I saved $50 an acre on chemicals. As long as my spray guy does a decent job I will not do it. I don't have the man power to spray my pre and figure if he does part he just as well do all.
I could probably look farther on Chemicals and save a few more $$ but as long as what I am doing works I will stay the course.
Some years what happens isn't perfect but it is not always perfect when I do it either. From time to time I see some planter skips to remind me.
Don't forget the custom guy keeps records of wind, temp, application rates, products etc. Most important is if the spray kills your land lady's flowers it is not your fault.
