Dalton, OH | Not knowing the age or quality of your trucks or vans/car, but will the vans/car need a lot of repairs? If you have newer trucks and older vans/car and they break-down a lot, you may end up with a lot more than driving the trucks. In my mind, $3,000 is pennies if you end up stranded 30 miles from home on the best field work day of the year and somebody has to let a piece of equipment set just to come get you. All vehicles cost a lot to maintain, but older ones seem to rack up the costs even faster. I know because I drive older pickups. I just know time is money on our farm and uptime on everything is very critical.
