| It gets better gas mileage than my motorcycle and can carry 4 people. It's not pretty, but it's in good enough mechanical condition to do the running we need to do (every town is a 30 mile round trip - kids in sports, parts, groceries). When diesel went to $4 it pretty much made is so it will pay for itself in about 2 months (Only fill the F250 once a month - if that vs. every week). It's a little extreme, but a neighbor owned the car and had taken good care of it. So far it's been great, but what a change from a Chrysler Town & Country or even the F250 - it's tiny, noisy and rides rough .
My 2 gallons,
Pat
Ps: I do agree that buying a fairly expensive vehicle to save on gas only takes a long time to pay off. | |
