We were putting 30,000 miles a year on my dad's diesel F250. About 10 years ago we stopped driving it except for heavy pulling. It now only gets 3000 miles a year on it. At that rate, we can use this '94 F250 for a LONG time. How much does it cost for a new pickup truck every 2 years? How much does it cost per mile (depreciation) on a $50,000 dollar pickup truck vs a $19,000 honda civic? You do the math.
