Ultimate irony for an American farmer to gripe about taxpayer money being thrown at an enterprise. Double irony when one considers that a vast swath of farmland in our country was just handed out, literally free of charge.






Ah yes, the old trope about farmers can’t complain because they get gov money. Stop the flow of money to ag and see if I complain before you say how ironic it is.

Free was evidently the approximate market value of potential farmland back when it was being given away, given the price on the Louisiana Purchase. Anyone with even an elementary education in US history knows that.

All I did in my reply was state a fact. You are free to dispute it if untrue, but you chose to use a different tactic, which is telling.
