This is the kind of solar that we need more of. In my opinion, far, far better than acres and acres of prime farmland being used to hold panels. That's just plain stupid.


I agree. I am much more in favor of solar over wind power…as long as the panels aren’t on the ground. There are enough wasted roof tops in the world that there is rarely a good reason to put them on the ground. Unless that ground isn’t usable for absolutely anything else.

We have solar panels on the south roof of our office. Unless they are snow covered or it is a pitch black dark, they are still doing something. Even in extreme fog. The moon very often shines enough for them to be doing a little bit at night. We had six 10KW wind turbines for awhile, they were there for about 14 years until we needed the space. But they didn’t pay for themselves. And took up a lot of space. Much more impressed with the solar panels on the roof. And they have paid for themselves plus some.
