I can see much of that happening. Instead of a city bus that takes a route, there will be little EV 'taxis' if you want to call them that, that will shuttle people directly where they want to go.

Also, I still don't understand why they don't put solar panels on building rooves and anywhere they can fit them in the cities. To me, it seems odd to build a large solar farm out in the middle of nowhere, and then run transmission lines to the city. Put them on the buildings, tie it right into the building wiring, and have a control box like they do for individual houses, only on a bigger scale. Imagine the square footage if the roof of every Wal-Mart and like building were covered with solar panels.
Why don't we see that?
One would think if it had a fast payback, and no real drawbacks, it would be done already. Do they know something we don't?
Not even Warren Buffet has solar panels on any of his buildings, yet he is investing in some large solar farms.

Just thinking out loud I guess.
