NE Ohio | The vacation time would be matched with the addition of a few personal days. I do currently and would still be able to schedule vacation to farm. Currently I must give a 2 week notice. My boss is pretty cooperative though and lets me put in big blocks of vacation time and I can cancel days it rains and only take what I need. The new place needs no advanced notice so I'd just put in when I want off.
My friends say the boss would be understanding, but I'm not sure that it will be to the degree I'm accustomed to. Likely a few "emergencies" a year would be acceptable. Currently if I need to meet the vet or unload a seed delivery or whatever, within reason, I can just go and make up my hours later. | |
