Option 3 is something you haven't listed..... looking to start a business that complements your farming....  become an insurance agent.....become an accountant and do tax work... build a welding business in your shop.... look at what your skills are... what you are good at.... go from there.  Maybe this is not something that will happen now, but stay in your current job near-term, with the eye to developing a business that you can be self-employed in, in addition to farming.
