NE Ohio | My bother works 4-10s, 2 days a week from home. The down side is he travels occasionally and he also has to put in a decent amount of overtime. He can be available, we try to schedule deliveries on his day off or the a day he works from home. I am the older brother and have always been the "manager" of the operation. I suppose I struggle some with the thought of letting some of that responsibility go.
You're right, and that's my problem! ha
Truth be told I'm an engineer with machining and manufacturing experience. Id love to have my own business reflecting that, but I'm also a sucker for stability. I know I'd have a steady paycheck and job security from both town jobs. That security kind of eases my mind with the risks of farming. The 401K retirement and insurance would also be hard to walk away from. | |
