If I'm paying top dollar, then if it's higher then that, I don't want it. If someone else has a plan that allows them to pay more then I am,  then what possible rational is there for me to expect the landowners to give it to me for less?  If that's the case, I need to get off my butt and figure out what the other guy knows that I'm missing.....or perhaps I'm just greedy and don't want to pay what it's worth.

What land is renting for, and who is willing to pay the most are no secrets.  All a person has to do is raise the rent they are paying existing owners and the word will travel like wildfire.

Most of my friends would rent any piece of land which was available at a price they liked.  So would I.  Other farmers are about the only people I have a lot in common with....if I was going to eliminate all my friends because of business considerations, I'd get pretty lonely in a hurry.
