I don't know if scared or afraid is the right word in my case.  I guess I'm a pansy and don't like the unnecessary pain that one could acquire by lingering in those areas of town.

When I took the class to get my CCL, the instructor spoke about being aware of our surroundings at all times.  You know the old saying that if you frequent cesspools, you just may get some on you....like it or not.Since then, I try to be more aware of those things that could cause that unwanted pain & anguish.

I go where I HAVE to go...stay as long as I NEED to and then retire to what I deem as safer surrounding. 

Being careful doesn't always mean being afraid or scared.
