First time I ever went to CHicago I got in about 11 at night. I missed my turn and ended up on the freeway headed west out of town. I knew it was wrong and thouoght I had better ask directions. Saw a McDonalds at an exit so got off...... when I saw the bars on the windows of it decided it might not be the place to stop. Saw some police on the corner "talking" to some guy. Had my 4 year old daughter with me and needed to get to my sister's. Stopped and got out and walked up to ask them directions..... Thought they were going to have a heart attack.....I was the only white person in the neighborhood....they told me to get back in my car and they would escort me out of that part of town before someone killed me..... I figured if I had one cruiser in front of me and one behind me and we were not stopping for red lights I must have been in the wrong part of town......
