I guess my reasoning for staying out of the "seedy" parts of town would be that I kinda like my life, so why stagger the odds of being shot at or beaten by a gang.

In the parts of town you speak of, you're prob. more likely to get stabbed or shot at than get into an old school azz kickin match.

What if the "deaf" bum had a pistol? What if the hooker had a gun? For all the people you observed, what if some kook was watching you? You just never know anymore.

Just my .02, hope the hamburger was good..........
