No - I'm not hooking up anything to the smaller studs other than the one that says GRD and BAT. I will take that GRD wire off and see what happens because as you said - the alternator is grounded to the frame by nature of being bolted to the engine. I'm also about to head out and try to stick the screwdriver through that little D hole as you in structed.
