Subject: RE: Tesla update

Take this for what my opinion is worth, but the Tesla and Honda are 2 entirely different braking systems. The brakes on the wheel of Tesla do nothing till you get to probably 5 mph, you are using regenerative braking of the motor/generator .There is probably no direct connection between the brake pedal and the wheel mechanical or hydraulic unless as a failsafe with very limited braking. It could very well be a software issue that Tesla never planned for with your unique road conditions. But as for regular antilock brakes stopping on ice,I agree if you have marginal tires antilock brakes will take farther to stop than a vehicle without. Maybe we all need 32 Fords, nothing but steel from the pedal to the wheel as Henry used to say.
