West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | I'm sure there was a lot of life happening at the time that distracted from the most important task at the time which was driving. Good to read everyone is OK.
Judging by what you have typed, my thoughts are you and your wife are/were traveling much faster than both of you are thinking and are aware of in theTesla when not paying close attention to speed. A Tesla fault might be that the vehicle gives drivers a feeling of overconfidence and unawarness of what driving conditions truly are.
Around here, over speeding the steering/braking ability of vehicles was quite common when FWD vehicles started becoming mainstream...especially during winter driving conditions. The same thing happens with AWD vehicles today.
Try kick the speed up another 10 maybe 20 MPH with your van when trying to recreate the same senario and see what happens. |
