OR he could have hit the accelerator in a panic instead of or in addition to the brakes. The torque and power generated by an EV is considerable and that could have launched the car.

Failing to have gotten enough experience with the Tesla before going crazy with it is no reason to avoid another Tesla. It is every reason to buy another one and learn how to handle it to keep in between the lines.

This sort of thing is exactly why the Hertz deal went south. Too many people do not understand that Teslas are a different animal than they are used to. Hertz had too many repairs due to wrecks and abuse on their Teslas from renters who had no experience with them. It had nothing at all to do with the quality of the vehicles themselves.

But, I reckon if I were an anti-EV nut, I would attempt to use anything and everything to fortify my argument in an attempt to dissuade others from buying them too, right?
