IMO, your greatest misjudgement in this situation is considering another Tesla.
OR he could have hit the accelerator in a panic instead of or in addition to the brakes. The torque and power generated by an EV is considerable and that could have launched the car.
The accelerator got mashed instead of the brakes on three separate occasions by two different drivers?
