Do a bit of searching for posts on here for the last few years about the pandemic and you will find lots of posts of people arguing that peer reviewed data was the only way to know the truth.
I guess you are kind of right though about how “science” can change as most of the time they had to change the science to what the people they were arguing with, the so called “science deniers” were saying. Those so called “science deniers” were actually the only scientists who were actually following the science. The rest were playing follow the leader. As I said, research the shortcomings of peer reviewed data.
