Subject: RE: falling inflation. OMG, if anyone says we have "falling inflation" their arguement immediately

It's interesting that you mention power of the media and then also mention "The reality was that he was the only leader to not actually start a war and actually achieved relative peace where it had never happened before." This is the biggest misconception that has propagated for some reason. I would encourage you to study the conflicts and what was going on and continues to go on. Sorry but conflicts continued in many of the exact same areas they are still going on in. Syria, Yemen, many countries in Africa, Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine, Iraq. Even in the Ukraine, there were covert Russian actions occurring in the eastern Ukraine obelisks. Much like "NK stopped shooting missiles" that was continuously claimed, the characterization is incorrect. No sorry the idea of WW3 happening is the other side of the media coin doing exactly what you warn against.

Actually yes the inflation numbers are a whole lot more accurate than the other numbers people throw out. CPI from 2019-2023 has gone up 22%. Do you hear many saying that they have gotten more than 25% in raises in the last 5 years? If people actually believed the 50% numbers or whatever they think the real numbers were, the only way that households can remotely operate was to receive a similar % increase in income. Yes we will always have "oh that part is twice as expensive" or look at how much my fully loaded truck with twice as many amenities costs so much more. When the baseline work trucks are as nice as the high end vehicles of yesteryear that's an incomplete analysis.

Edit: What are your household numbers showing. And please no anecdotal such as the grocery are so much more expensive. % wise what has your total household outlay changed by. And if you include vehicles make sure its an apple to apple comparison aka don't compare a 1/2 ton gas to a 1 ton loaded diesel. Personally we are around a 25% rise in the last 5 years which would make sense as household non-farm income has done roughly the same.

Edit 2: As for those who say the sky is falling, perhaps find a new group of friends to associate with or actually get out. The US is still advancing economically, unfortunately small town USA isn't the epicenter. Interesting how there are so many complaints about all the farmland taken by development, but then the next argument is the economy is terrible also. Many contradictory arguments being made.
