I found  your post very interesting than I read your "profile" NW Iowa. I also had similar frightening ,pants filling experiences! While cultivating with a AC WD 45 east of Sioux Center. A F-100 of the 185th fighter wing stationed in Sioux City which was piloted by a neighbor young buck. It occurred frequently on Saturday day due to g:uard weekend duty, The next morning in church he would smartly ask: "Why  the mess in your field?  Did you fall asleep while cultivating corn?"  He was reprimanded and was warned if he continued having "fun" he would lose his pilot licenses. A number of years later he took his toy and did likewise to the Viet Cong but made a mess of the burma grass.
