Subject: Q: Solenoids and speed impact

Alton, Ia
The way I understand it, you have 16 motors in series and see about 1200 psi pressure drop from start to finish. When you shut off a section, you are removing that section's friction loss from the flow circuit, so do you see the hyd flow increase? IE then your remaining rows overplant? Or are you controlling flow closely enough by speed feedback somehow? Or can something as simple as an orifice in each valve bypass line simulate the "on" friction losses?

Very interesting topic, would like to know more.
