Brazilton KS
The  planter I put the EZ Boom on is not a "real" factory 1200.  It is a Friesen bar with 1200 units and a Big John controller.  It was set up with three sections, 6 in the middle and each wing, and you could not shut the center 6 off.  I changed it over before it was ever taken to the field.  It is now, from one side to the other, 4-5-6-5-4 rows.  I don't remember for certain if I had to cut any of the shafts or if I was able to simply remove couplers to break the rows up that way.  I considered putting a clutch on the center section instead of adding the idler motor for the speed sensor, but the motor was cheaper then the clutch, and simpler also.
