"I swear, I picked up speed when I hit the brakes."
Probably because he accidentally hit the gas along with or instead of the brake in a panic.
Something that may have very well happened in all three of the OPs incidents. I have not been in a Tesla, but could pedal placement play a factor in these incidents? A new car, limited time driving it for both of them, different pedal placement than they are used to, a heavier vehicle, tremendous acceleration, all could have played into this. |
