Flag the "good" areas and flag the "bad" areas. Right before the combine rolls do a yield check by hand picking 17.5' of ears in a row in both areas and weigh/compare moisture. The results might surprise you.
That is what i would recommend doing also. The extra soil moisture under the heavy residue may be prove to be a benefit.
