I know its winter so take the snow blower or just use you r feet and mark out the floor plan in the snow to exact scale
We did it in the summer with the lawn mower on the front lawn and changed a few things went form 28ft wide to 30 4 ft wide hallway and 6 more inches to each bedroom
When you see it in exact scale makes a big difference than looking at a blueprint IMHO
Cant stress enough an outside 36" or better entrance way into the basement Our is from the garage
One good thing I saw the other day was to double up the main beam in the basement and get rid of the jack posts I wish i had thought or seen that one earlier
Even if you dont hook it up right away put the pipes in the concrete floor You will never regret it Its hard to do after the concrete is poured
