Several years ago I helped build a few homes.
One thing was to put a 2 or 3 inch PVC pipe from the basement to the attic for easy access if you ever need to run an antennae wire or electricity in or out of the attic.
Another house had the basement dug under the front porch with a wall and an door opening to seperate it from the rest of the basement. The concrete porch floor served as the roof of this room and installing a heavy steel door created a vault for valuables. Good luck. | |
