My dad died on the first day of spring in 2003. He was 71, I was 33. We had talked the night before about him starting early the next morning running a bulldozer cleaning out a fence. He woke up and couldn't use his left side. Last we spoke he was sitting on the end of his bed and I asked him if he was scared? He laughed and said: " what do I have to be scared about?"
After the funeral, I went to check his cows, and when I opened the farm pickup door, a note was laying there from him. It said: I have gone to check the cows, I hope all is well with you.
I miss him every day. Right after he died, he appeared to my wife in a dream. He and some other people were digging holes in a field and laughing and having fun. He told her he really liked it there, and everyone was so nice to him. |
