| I never once insinuated there were no background checks. When people are referring to Chicago they're usually referring to things like the ban on "assault rifle" sales and high capacity magazines. Now these are actually state bans so my little quip about the "next county" is a bit hyperbole, but my point stands: It's difficult to evaluate the effectiveness of stricter gun laws if they're easily circumvented.
Now to be clear and specific: I'm referring to obtaining firearms not whether they're legal to possess in any particular city or state. | |
