Frisco, TX | New York. When I worked, would fly into LaGuardia, rent a car, and drive about 25 miles east on Long Island to Melville where we had an operations center. Driving back to the airport was the worst. Here in Dallas the road signs over the expressways are bigger than a house. Your own fault if you aren't watching for signs. But in NYC, they can tack one "Airport" arrow sign maybe 2 feet by 2 feet to a light pole on the side of the Long Island Expressway and expect everyone to see it. Never drove in Manhattan but believe it could be done since streets are mostly in a grid pattern. Parking is the problem however. | |
