| I think my vote would have to be Honolulu. Pedestrians everywhere down the main drag (which is where our hotel was) and it didn't help that we got upgraded from a Ford Explorer to a full-size Nissan Armada. It was just a total pain in the butt to get anywhere and parking that Armada was a chore (although it did have 360 parking cameras which I loved).
Most nervous would have to be some little residential area in Chicago. A friend and I were passing through to get to Michigan, but flooding caused us to jump off the interstate and weave our way across the south end of town. At some point we're in this neighborhood with 6-8" of standing water in the street and I swear it seemed like everyone was outside meandering around. Here we roll up in this bright orange Scion xB (that box looking one) and I swear everyone was looking our way. I turned to my buddy and said, "Get us the hell out of here." Can't say I felt comfortable being the side-show attraction at the time! | |
