Franklinton, LA | I have been told that you should not retire unless there is something else that you would like to do. Basically, you need a good reason to get out of bed each morning.
During my second career I worked as an Extension Ag Engineer for the LSU Ag Center. We used to joke that when you visited a flooded rice field you should always go with someone you could outrun. That way if you saw an alligator you could outrun your friend and be safe. I decided to retire when I kept getting requests from younger friends to visit rice fields.
