North of London
'10 minute lunch breaks'

A long time ago when I was young and we were poor I was selected for a survey on hours worked.
1 week in middle of month we had to record hours worked for 6 months.

Shortest hours worked was the week in February, 48 hours, and that was 4 days as we were away Friday through Sunday for a family wedding.

May hit planting weather as well as June and one of those weeks I was entering hours and enter 1/2 hour for lunch.
Wife 'corrected it' as she pointed out I was in the house for most of the 1/2 hour and most of the time I was on phone ordering inputs and delivery. No cell phones way back then.

And back to the subject of retirement.
Cutting back the hours but still having something to do that you like is the goal here.

Wife conversed with courier last week.
He was an older man and did not seem to be in a hurry like most.
Told my wife he was making $13 an hour since he was paid a salary not hourly rate.
He 67 and had retired from his original job but was bored so took on the courier job for something to keep himself busy.
Sounded like he had a happy retirement.
