As platforms get wider, the unload auger has to get longer so the cart or truck can clear the LH side of the header. Why don't they shift the platform to the right 5 ft or so, that would require 5 ft less length on the unload auger? Are there optional lengths of unload augers avalible when a combine is ordered, or is the standard unload auger sized to match the longest header?
Why did it take 50 years?
