Central Kansas | Got to thinking about self propelled combines when they first came out. If memory serves me correct, Gleaner was the only one that had the operaters station "centered" over the combine, while everyone else had the operator offset to the left side. I understand why JD did it when they put the engine up front and to the right of the operater, but why do you suppose no other manufacture followed Gleaners idea untill 50 years later where now everyone sits in the middle? | |
