Southern Alberta | We breed our cows limo. Keep hearing how the feedlots dont like the limo calves what is the reason for this? They seem to win carcass and feed efficency competions quite often. Just wondering if to start switching now as we need to replace a couple bulls. Would look to switch to red angus or charlais but with the limo bulls we hardly ever have to assist a cow to calve.
Something else why do people with black angus cows just breed back angus dont they want any hybrid vigor that the cross gives? | |
