Driftless SW Wisconsin

Eric, I just have a small place I have had for many years and use to test products and ideas. As much as I would like to spend more time farming my day job is pretty much a full time job and then some. However this does give me the opportunity to try some different ideas and systems. I realize this is a different viewpoint than if I had to feed my family from full time farming. And as I try to include in my comments - not everything I have done has worked out. But a few things have and continue to evolve.

And I am talking about "real farming" not Amish, organic or Amish organic hippies.  But to each his own views of the world around them.  Things do look a lot different in Ohio these days and I understand how you feel.
