NC IL | My son played 5/6th grade football this year. That’s when we start here. Junior tackle and all games less than an hour away. I never got to play because of farming and farm parents. We let him play. He is the smallest 5th grader and probably the smallest on the field, period. Was one of the few fifth graders that got to actually carry the ball. Wound up 5th grade offensive player of the year. He’s played soccer, gets pretty rough without pads or a helmet. Starts on the basketball team and the same thing, no helmets, a hard floor, tough fouls and diving collisions.They are all dangerous. | |
