SE SD | I started in third grade. It was too young imo. I think it did help me learn to tackle and hit properly. It probably helped me as I continued to play.
The biggest thing is practice. When we were kids we did angle tackling and had way too much contact in practice. I think coaches and leagues limit contact better now. Equipment is much better now though.
It will be a tough decision for me in a few years with my own child. I loved it so much. | |
