Agree with you Russ. It seems the people pushing these tags have no real world experience with them. Good thing they still put the tattoos in with bangs because by the time the cows are 10 I’d bet that only 10% of the tags remain. Sure we can re-tag the cows every fall but it’s an added cost to us. As far as Eid records go, a crook will always be a crook, pretty easy to buy tags and scan them into a scanner to call them cows. We started using tags through verified beef 25 years ago now.
