Hi Kookier

I have no idea. I was going off an assumption that you guys might be trying other alternatives to corn considering the price to keep your profit margins not as tight.

I guess I was thinking alot about DDG's and although it is indirectly corn, it still isn't corn persay as out of the bin and ground.

I didn't know anything about the paylean. I've been doing hog project now with the kids for 2 years, my knowledge is pretty limited.

I hope you didn't take insult. I'm not trying to point fingers or necessarily say your to blame. I don't know why but store bought meat of any kind is never as good as home raised....well......at least till I read daves reply below but just been my small bit of experience.

I still question some finishing operations about thier not using meat scraps. I can't believe all those gut barrels that the rendering truck picked up behind the slaughterhouse turned into alpo or fertilizer. To hear the head guy tell it, my assumptions there are accurate.
