Yes All pork producers had the opportunity to vote on keeping the checkoff or not. It failed! Was supposed to vote on this every so many years, you know? That pesky little thing about taxation without representation. Well national pork producers council went behind closed doors with MS> Ann "Venom" , Our most pathetic ag secretary to date. Then she suddenly declared the voting INVALID. Us dumb pork producers didnt know what was best for us so she threw the vote out. I would have NEVER believed that could of happened in the US of A. Supposedly we were to get the chance to vote again at a future date but that never happened. You dont even hear about it anymore. This vote was taken by USDA in each producers home fsa office to boot. I could not believe that the national news media never raised a finger, but listen to them scream when some little dictator rigs an election in timbuktu. Any way glad someone remembered. Have a great day! Sun is shining here.
