Actually my point was that I know of cases where manufacturers have actually published specs that are on the pessimistic side. For example, I think Trimble advertise 12"-18" autonomous P2P accuracy for their EZ-Guide+ system, yet almost every report I've seen on this product says that the accuracy is generally much better than this - in fact sometimes as low as 4"-6".
