West Kentucky | B.S. in Agribusiness and Ag Education, M.S. in Ag Science. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything and I will make sure my kids have that same opportunity. Although, I still say that the most important things I learned in college were learned while living at the Alpah Gamma Rho house with 30-40 other guys. You talking about a fast course on learning to deal with other people. LOL!!
LOL! Dad always said that it took about 3 to 4 years for us to forget enough of what applied everywhere else and learn what actually applied here though. I don't think it is an absolute that a college education will make you successful but I do believe it helps. I am sitting here thinking of all the farmers in this area under the age of 50, and by and large, they almost all have a college education. Many of us went because we were not sure the opportunity would be available for us to farm. | |
